Sunrise Mocktail

The easiest drink to make in under 10 minutes and that looks just like a beautiful sunrise! This cocktail is perfect for a lover of tons of bright citrusy fruity flavors. So the next time you’re having a dinner party, you got to add these sunrise cocktails to the menu!

There’s nothing better than a recipe that involves only 3 ingredients and takes less than 10 minutes. It couldn’t get easier and also it couldn’t get more tasty! It’s one of my favorite cocktails to make because I love lemon-lime soda and if you do too, this will be a hit.

How to Make it

The steps to making this recipe are super simple! In fact, it’s so simple that I didn’t give exact measurements. I always just kind of eye it and pour into each cup until it looks right.

Here is what you need:

  • orange juice
  • lemon-lime soda
  • grenadine syrup
  • ice

To a cup, add a bit of ice to the bottom.

Then add a layer of orange juice so the cup is about 1/4 to 1/3 full.

On top of the orange juice, add the lemon-lime soda so the cup is almost full to the top.

Finally, add a splash of grenadine syrup. It will travel to the bottom of the cup to create the beautiful sunrise look.

Garnish with a maraschino cherry or an orange wedge and enjoy.

And that’s literally it! If you want a stronger orange juice flavor, add more. If you want more of a lemon-lime flavor, add more sprite or 7-up. You can even use a flavored sparkling water or seltzer water. For the grenadine syrup, I add about 1 tablespoon but feel free to add to your taste.

For the best taste, mix all the juices and soda together before adding the grenadine syrup so all the flavors combine into one.

Variations to Try

  • Try the tropical version of this drink! Add pineapple juice, mango juice, or a combination of both in the place of orange juice.
  • Add a fruit puree to the bottom of the cups like strawberries or peaches for example.

What is Grenadine Syrup

You can find grenadine syrup at most supermarkets or a beverage store. It is sweet syrup made from pomegranates and has a bright red color to make the drink look like a sunrise. This is the brand I love to use.
